PM Abiy inaugurates the new residence building of Ethiopian Embassy in Pretoria

Addis Ababa, Ausgust 25, 2023 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) this morning inaugurated the newly built chancery of the Ethiopian Embassy in Pretoria, South Africa, the Offiice of the Prime Minister confirmed.

PM Office stated that following the direction given by Prime Minister Abiy to the Ethiopian Embassy in South Africa during his 2020 visit, the construction of the Ambassador’s residence has accordingly been completed in a short period of time.

He also indicated that the experience of building and completing high quality Ethiopian projects at speed should be a value that should be reflected in all Government and individual Ethiopian projects outside of Ethiopia.

It is learned that alongside the visit, the Premier and his delegation planted Green Legacy seedlings in the yard.

The Premier, alongside his high-level delegation have attended the BRICS-Africa Outreach and BRICS Plus meeting in Johannesburg, South Africa, where Ethiopia, alongside other five countries was invited to join the BRICS economic bloc.

During his stay in Johannesburg, PM Abiy also held bilateral meetings with the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, and the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
