PM Abiy calls on Ethiopians to maintain values, wisdom of forefathers

Addis Ababa, February 11, 2024 (FBC) – In his remarks at the inauguration of the Adwa Victory Memorial, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) called on Ethiopians to maintain values and wisdom of forefathers to preserve national unity and prosperity of the country.

The Prime Minister urged the current generation to inherit the wisdom of forefather they applied to deal with differences, preserve unity, defend the sovereignty of the nation.

Being sons and daughters of the heroes and heroines of who bravely fount at the battle of Adwa is a reward uniquely bestowed upon Ethiopians, the Prime Minister said.

The Premier stressed the need to replicate the spirit of the Victory of Adwa in ensuring food security by alleviating poverty.

Prime Minister Abiy further extended gratitude to the former Mayor of Addis Ababa, Engineer Takele Uma and the incumbent Adanech Abibie for their contribution to the successful completion of the Adwa Victory Memorial.
