PM Abiy appoints new ministers for the ministries of MFA, Justice and Tourism

Addis Ababa, October 18, 2024 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has appointed new ministers for the ministries of Foreign Affairs (MFA Ethiopia), the Ministry of Justice (MoJ), and the Ministry of Tourism (MoT), the Office of the Prime Minister announced today.

Accordingly, the PM Office disclosed that Gedion Timothewos has been appointed as the Foreign Minister of Ethiopia, whereas the former Chief Commissioner of the Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC), Ms. Hanna Araya-Selassie has been appointed as the Minister of Justice, replacing Gedion Timothewos at MoJ.

Meanwhile, the former Minister of State for Government Communication Affairs, Ms. Selamawit Kassa, has been appointed as the nation’s Minister of Tourism.
