PM Abiy Ahmed’s visit to Algeria key to strengthen multifaceted cooperation between two nations

Addis Ababa, August 29, 2022 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s visit to Algeria is key to strengthening multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, said Algerian Foreign Minister, Ramtane Lamamra.

FM Ramtane Lamamra stated that the Prime Minister’s visit to Algeria is important for the strong cooperation between the two countries.

The FM recalled FDRE President, Sahle-Work Zewde’s previous visit to Algeria and said that the Prime Minister’s current visit has a significant role in strengthening ties between the two countries.

He mentioned that the visit of the leaders confirms the existing strong relations and fruitful cooperation between the countries, and both countries support the principle of ‘African Solution to African Problems’.

He also stated that Ethiopia and Algeria are working on industrial development in a bid to realize mutual benefit. He also said that a sovereign nation has the right to develop and use its natural resources.

On this basis, Algeria supports African countries to support one another and develop a spirit of unity so as to solve their problems themselves peacefully.
