PM Abiy Ahmed sends best wishes to all celebrating Easter

Addis Ababa, April 15, 2023 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has sent his best whishes to all Ethiopians who are celebrating Easter on Sunday.

Easter is one of the highly-esteemed holidays among Christians all over the world, Prime Minister Abiy said, adding: “The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a great festival through which the highest form of love is manifested, the meaning of reconciliation and forgiveness is revealed, mercy and salvation are confirmed, and Adam’s promise is fulfilled,” the Prime Minister noted.

“The resurrection of Christ removed the wall of separation between God and Adam existed for centuries,” Prime Minister Abiy said in his Easter message.

“Today, while celebrating Easter, we should think and decide about ending the conflicts and disagreements that have long existed in our country through reconciliation. Let’s bring an end to hostilities that stem from the past once and for all to ensure that they won’t darken our hope for tomorrow.

The journey towards prosperity is a win-win for all, not a playoff to be won by few, the Premier noted, highlighting a need to prefer cooperation to discord so as to achieve the goals of the nation. The one who maintains perseverance is always victorious; therefore revival of the nation is inevitable, he added.
