PM Abiy Ahmed sees Italian counterpart off at Bole International Airport

Addis Ababa, April 15, 2023 (FBC) – Following Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s two-day official visit to Ethiopia, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has seen her off at Bole International Airport.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has held trilateral discussion today with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and President of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on ways of enhancing cooperation in investment, infrastructure and multilateral diplomacy.

During the trilateral meeting, Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni assured Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed that that the Italian government will support Italian companies to engage in agriculture, tourism and renewable energy sectors in Ethiopia.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, for his part, affirmed commitment of his Government to provide all the necessary support for Italian companies interested to invest in Ethiopia.
