PM Abiy Ahmed inaugurates bread & flour factory in Asosa built by Office of the FL
Addis Ababa, August 23, 2024 (FBC) – A flour and bread factory, built in Asoosa, Benishangul-Gumuz regional state capital, by the Office of the First Lady, was inaugurated today in the presence of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
The flour and bread factory has the capacity of producing 300,000 loaves per day.
The Office of the First Lady has also constructed two high schools in the city of Asosa, the Prime Minister confirmed on his social media page.
Nationally, over 30 high schools and more than 12 bread factories have been built through the Office of the First Lady, with financing secured from various partners and collaborators, PM Abiy noted.
Recall the Prime Minister and his high-level delegation have traveled to Benishangul-Gumuz region and participated in the one-day tree seedlings planting campaign which aims to plant 600 million saplings in a 12 hour mark.
“On the occasion of the one day planting, we also planted seedlings within the compound of the bread factory,” the premier mentioned.
