PHC driver, foundation of ongoing health reforms in Ethiopia: State Minister

Addis Ababa, June 7, 2023 (FBC) – Addressing the start of in-country mission on Primary Health Care (PHC) Investment Planning, Minister of State for Health, Dr. Ayele Teshome stated that PHC remains to be the driver and foundation of the ongoing health reforms in Ethiopia.

The statement by Dr. Ayele came at a time when the World Health Organization Regional Office for Africa conducted an in-country mission in Ethiopia to discuss investing in Primary Healthcare PHC priorities with officials of the Ministry of Health.

The in-country mission envisages improving PHC and encouraging Universal Health Coverage universal health coverage and health security in Ethiopia, it was stated.
