Parliament revokes immunity of a member suspected of corruption
Addis Ababa, March 26, 2015 (FBC) – The House of Representatives of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has revoked the immunity of a member of the House who is suspected of corruption. The parliament is holding its 13th regular session.
The revocation of the immunity of the member has been carried out based on the appeal made by the Ministry of Justice.
Chala Wata (PhD), whose immunity has been removed, is a former president of Bulle Hora University, and he has been suspected of making illegal purchases contrary to the procurement law of the nation.
