Over 39 million people to engage in voluntary activities this summer

Addis Ababa, June 17, 2024 (FBC) – The Ministries of Women and Social Affairs, Education and Peace held a joint press briefing on nationwide voluntary activities slated for this summer season.

The institutions stated that more than 39 million people will engage in diverse voluntary activities which are expected to benefit over 50 million members of the community nationwide.

According to the institutions, fourteen fields of voluntary engagement have already been identified for the program.

The ministerial institutions, among others, will mobilize over 20,000 university students into several parts of the country for the summer volunteer program, they said.
