Over 320 million quintals of crop harvested so far this season
Addis Ababa, December 31, 2024 (FMC) – The Ministry of Agriculture of Ethiopia (MoA) has announced that over 320 million quintals of crops has been harvested so far in the 2016/17 Ethiopian harvest season.
Mr. Kebede Lakew, Executive Director of Communications and Public Relations at the Ministry, stated that during the current harvest season, 20 million hectares of land was covered with crops seeds, including 11 million hectares of rice in cluster.
Accordingly, over 320 million quintals of crop has been harvested from 16 million hectares of land so far this season, the Executive Director told Fana Media Corporation.
