Oromia, Chinese institutes sign all rounded cooperation agreement

Addis Ababa, December 7, 2020 (FBC) -Oromia Agricultural Institute and the Chinese Institute of Applied Ecology have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate in agricultural research works

The agreement allows the two institutes to have an all rounded cooperation in agricultural research and development works, environment and ecology, free scholarship, financial assistance and capacity building as well as academics exchange activities.

In order to put the agreement into effect, the two institutes agreed to open Ethio-China agricultural and environmental research centres in both countries.

Speaking on the occasion, ambassador of Ethiopia to China, Teshome Toga, said the agreement is important to modernize Ethiopia’s agricultural sector, the backbone of the country’s economy.
