NRC holds consultation on reintegration of former armed group members in Amhara Region

Addis Ababa, December 27, 2024 (FMC) – The National Rehabilitation Commission (NRC) convened a meeting with officials from the Amhara Regional State to explore strategies for reintegrating former members of armed groups back into society.

The discussions focused on the commission’s rehabilitation plan, implementation strategies, and the roles of stakeholders in facilitating the reintegration and rehabilitation of the former armed group members.

Attending the consultation were Arega Kebede, Chief Administrator of the Amhara Regional State, Temesgen Tilahun, Commissioner of the Rehabilitation Commission, along with senior officials from both the regional government and the commission.
