New Resident Coordinator reaffirms UN’s commitment to support Ethiopia’s dev’t priorities

Addis Ababa, August 15, 2023 (FBC) – State Minister for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mesganu Arga received the Newly appointed UN Assistant Secretary-General and UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Ethiopia, Ramiz Alakbarov at his office.

The two discussed on the UN Ethiopia’s activities in support of the country’s development goals and advancing the SDGs, humanitarian, transitional justice and the reconstruction process.

On the occasion, Ramiz Alkbarov expressed UN Ethiopia’s renewed commitment to support Ethiopia’s development priorities.

The newly appointed UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator presented his copy of credentials to Director General of Protocol Affairs of Ethiopia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Belaku Bedada, on Tuesday.
