New Ethiopian envoy meets with President of the Federal Republic of Germany

Addis Ababa, October 24, 2024 (FBC) – Ambassador Eskinder Yirga, who assumed his responsibilities as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Federal Republic of Germany presented his Letters of Credentials to Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of the Federal Republic of Germany.

During the presentation ceremony, the Ambassador expressed his gratitude and readiness to collaborate with the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and elevate the century-old relations and partnership between Ethiopia and Germany.

According to the Ethiopian Embassy in Berlin, he also highlighted main priorities of his tenure as the Ambassador of Ethiopia in Germany.

President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, on his part, welcomed the Ambassador and pledged his Government’s unreserved support for successful discharge of the Ambassador’s duties and the promotion of friendly cooperation between Ethiopia and Germany.
