New book authored on military psychology inaugurated
Addis Ababa, June 8, 2024 (FBC) – The latest book authored by Ethiopia’s Major General Tesfaye Ayalew, under the title “The Psychology of Heroism” inaugurated today.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by senior government officials, military officers and invited guests.
Somali Region President Mustafe Muhumed said on the occasion that the author is a veteran military officer who has excessive knowledge on how to be victorious in battle fields with a strong sprit of heroism.
Mustafe cited the heroism act demonstrated by Major General Tesfaye Ayalew to thwart attempts that had been made by the terrorist Al-Shebab to infiltrate in to Ethiopia through Somali region.
State Minister of Defense Martha Luigi said for her part Ethiopians are strong people endowed with the endurance to defeat enemies, persuade others and hard workers.
However, she stated that since recent times Ethiopia has been encountering some groups that give away the national interest of the country which is the manifestation of psychological fallout.
In this regard, the newly published book presents a compelling case for returning Ethiopian heroism to those who are suffering from the psychological fallout from giving up their country’s interests to foreign powers and provides remedies to the consequence of the psychological crisis.
The Psychology of Heroism, which took about five years, is available in Amharic, Afan Oromo, English and Somali languages.
The book is expected to serve as sources of knowledge vital to the youth and general public to have the psychological readiness at the national level in addition to providing training mainly for security entities, as reported by ENA.
