Netherlands hosts an event seeking solutions for challenges facing youths

Addis Ababa, October 23, 2020 (FBC) – Embassy of the Netherlands in collaboration with Ministry of Women, Children and Youths has organized an event under the theme “Youth at Heart” in a view to seek solutions for challenges being faced by the youth community.

High ranking government officials including Ministry of Ministry of Education, Dr. Getahun Mekuria and Minister of Ministry of Women, Children and Youths, Filsan Abudlahi and Ambassador of the Netherlands to Ethiopia, Henk Jan Bakker have attended the event.

Ways of addressing COVID 19 situations that are impacting livelihoods of the youth are also discussed on the event.

On the occasion, Minister of Ministry of Women, Children and Youths, Filsan Abudlahi extended gratitude to the embassy for organizing the event which focused at ways of empowering the youth in various supportive mechanisms.

Although the challenges faced by Ethiopian youth currently are many, we are finalizing the policies that we hope will help to advance the socioeconomic conditions of our youth; leading to a fruitful future.
