NBE urges local banks to enhance competitiveness Ahead of foreign market entrants

Addis Ababa, January 14, 2025 (FMC) – Solomon Desta, Vice Governor of the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE), emphasized the importance of capacity building among local banks to effectively compete with international financial institutions poised to enter the market.

Speaking at the launch of Dashen Bank’s new banking super app, which offers a comprehensive banking solution, Solomon highlighted the necessity for banks to invest in advanced technology, financial expertise, and cybersecurity measures.
