NBE governor confers with VISA’s CEO

Addis Ababa, February 7, 2024 (FBC) – Governor of National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE), Mamo Mihretu met and had a discussion today with Ryan McInerney, CEO of VISA, NBE confirmed via a social media post.

According to NBE, their discussion aims to enhance partnership in reliable, innovative digital payments leveraging VISA’s global network and scale.

Note that the VISA chief McInerney also held a meeting with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed this morning to discuss on VISA’s undertakings in Ethiopia.
