NBE Governor confers with counterparts from various African countries

Addis Ababa, April 13, 2023 (FBC) – The Governor of National Bank of Ethiopia, Mamo Mihretu, conferred with counterparts from Central Banks of Kenya, Zambia, Mozambique and Uganda on the sidelines of IMF-WB Spring Meetings 2023.

It is indicated that they deliberated on issues pertaining to debt sustainability, price stability and tradeoff between policy choices.

Following his meeting with his counterparts, NBE Governor, Mamo Mihretu emphasized that at a time of acute economic pressure and profound financial needs, the task of maintaining stable macro financial conditions is becoming increasingly evident.
