NBE, EU delegation discuss recent monetary policy, Ethiopia’s investment

Addis Ababa, August 30, 2023 (FBC) – Ambassador Roland Kobia, Head of the EU Delegation to Ethiopia, and members of the European Chamber in Ethiopia held discussions today with National Bank of Ethiopia.

It is learned that the talks covered recent monetary policy, banking sector issues, and Ethiopia’s investment climate conditions.

The NBE Governor reiterated NBE’s commitment to restoring price stability and to addressing important reforms needed in the banking and investments environments.

He noted that such foundational reforms will be supportive of the full range of investors (both foreign and domestic) engaged in job-creating and foreign exchange generating activities across multiple sectors.
