National Green Legacy Committee visits Sodere nursery

Addis Ababa, May 30, 2020 (FBC) – Members of the National Green Legacy Committee have visited sodere nursery site in North Shewa Zone, Oromia Regional State today.

High ranking government officials at ministerial level, Officials from Oromia Regional state and public figures drawn from various segments of communities have attended the nursery, one of the sites where tree seedlings are being nurtured for the upcoming national planting campaign.

There are currently 24,000 nurseries serving as seedling transplanting hubs for country’s green legacy initiative, it is stated on the occasion.

It is to be recalled that Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed said the country is heading to planting close to five billion trees of various species by the upcoming Ethiopian rainy season.
