Nation Resolute to Fully Embrace Modern Agriculture: DPM
Addis Ababa, October 17, 2021 (FBC) – High- ranking officials of the new Ethiopian government have been busy over the previous days to look at the status of cluster farms in Oromia State.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Demeke Mekonnen, paying a visit to Adami Tulu Jido Kombolcha District in Oromia State has said that by embracing modern agriculture the country needs to be self-reliant in food crop.
Demeke adds that by scaling up the successful farming being implemented in Oromia to the whole nation, the country will soon be successful in boosting agricultural productivity.
He thus underlined the need to sustainably modernizing the sector to be food self-sufficient.
OBN reported that federal government officials, along with Oromia State President Shimeles Abdisa, have been at cluster farms in the region covered with various food crops, including vegetables and fruits.
