MoWIE Minister discusses with Chairman Al Nowais Investments on Aysha wind plant

Addis Ababa, March 10, 2021 (FBC) – Minister of Water, Irrigation and Energy, Dr. Seleshi Bekele has discussed with Chairman of United Arab Emirates based Al Nowais Investments LLC and AMEA Power on wind plant to be built at Aysha, Somali regional state.

Dr. Seleshi said the talks he held with the Al Nowais Investments is a progress of the discussion which has already started between the Ministry and the Company so far.

The two sides discussed on the upcoming wind plant to be built at Aysha in Somali Regional state.

Ethiopia is endowed with various and diversified renewable energy resources, namely hydro, wind, solar, geothermal, and biomass, and is working to tap these potentials for national electrification drive.
