MoUI, stakeholders sign infrastructure projects coordination MoU
Addis Ababa, September 21, 2022 (FBC) – The Ministry of Urban and Infrastructure (MoUI) and stakeholders signed a memorandum of understanding to ensure the integrated undertaking of national infrastructures from planning to completion.
The MoU was signed by Ethiopian Roads Administration, Industrial Parks Corporation, Ethiotelecom, Ethiopian Electric Power, Ethiopian Airports Corporation, Ethiopian Railway Corporation and the Ethiopian Electricity Utility.
Tewodros Tegegn, the National Integrated Infrastructure Chief Executive at MoUI, said that the Ministry has prepared short, medium and long-term plans to work in cooperation with the executive institutions
He called on the institutions to give concerted priority for the projects in 2022/22 fiscal year, so that projects are completed on time with quality.
He urged the stakeholders to overcome the limitations and capitalize on their strength from the previous fiscal year.
Minister of State for Infrastructure Sector at MoUI, Wondmu Seta, said that all the infrastructures are projected for the development of the country and all stakeholders should cooperate for a common goal.
The Ministry of State added that it is the responsibility of all institutions to work for better results by issuing their own infrastructure standards and addressing information gaps in a coordinated manner.
