MoH, JDC sign MoU on Health Service Improvement Project
Addis Ababa, December 29, 2022 (FBC) – Ministry of health and Jewish Joint Distribution Committee Ethiopia signed a memorandum of understanding on the implementation of the Health Services Improvement Project with financial support secured from the Government of Israel.
Ministry of Health and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, a humanitarian organization signed the MoU to strengthen the health system in 36 hospitals implementing System Bottlenecks Focused Reform (SBFR), restore conflict affected health facilities and modernize the Ethiopian Prosthetic and Orthotics Service (EPOS) in the country.
According to Ministry of health the project will be implemented at the national level to adapt and modernize hospitals and implement key system bottleneck improvements to improve service quality and customer satisfaction.
Ministry of Health stated that the project will be implemented at the national level to digitize services in hospitals implementing the System Bottlenecks Focused Reform (SBFR) so as to ensure quality services and customer satisfaction.
On the signing ceremony, State Minister of Health Dr. Ayele Teshome expressed gratitude to the Israeli government for the financial assistance, pledging close monitoring and due support for the 3.9 million US dollars project.
