MoH highlights the role of private sector in advancing health care services in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, January 27, 2023 (FBC) – Addressing the Invest Origin Ethiopia 2023 Global Forum, the Health Minister Dr. Lia Tadesse highlighted the role of the private sector in advancing health care services in Ethiopia.

Invest Origin 2023 Forum is underway in Addis Ababa with a view to facilitate enabling condition for international investors to utilize the flourishing opportunities in Ethiopia.

In her remarks at this forum, Dr. Lia stated that the Government has created conducive atmosphere for interested investors who are willing to be engaged in the health sector.

The government has taken various measures including policy change to ensure favorable investment climate, Dr. Lia said, adding that there are now enabling conditions for foreign investors interested to engage in in areas of pharmaceutical manufacturing and tertiary and quaternary level health care services.

Among others, the health, education, ICT, housing development, tourism, industry are areas prioritized by the forum.
