MoH, Congenital Heart Academy ink MoU to cooperate in paediatric cardiology training program

Addis Ababa, December 16, 2022 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Ministry of Health (MoH) and the Congenital Heart Academy inked a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on a paediatric cardiology training program.

It is said that the MoU will mainly provide academic support and increase the capacity of specialists who provide specialty paediatric cardiology services, as well as help improve paediatric cardiology services.

Minister of Health, Dr. Lia Taddese, stated that the agreement is essential to ensure a comprehensive and continuous cardiology program, as well as to improve professional development through experience and training, to make the cardiology program successful and to meet the medical service needs of heart patients in Ethiopia.

According to the Head of Congenital Heart Academy, Prof. Agati Salvatore, the cooperation will create a great opportunity to increase the capacity of paediatric cardiology, as per the MoH.
