MoFA State Minister, Zimbabwean Ambassador discuss bilateral, regional issue

Addis Ababa, January 14, 2025 (FMC) – State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mesganu Arga Moach, met this morning at his office with the Ambassador of the Republic of Zimbabwe to Ethiopia, Sophia Nyamudeza.

The two sides discussed bilateral, regional, and multilateral issues of shared importance, including the upcoming African Union Summit.

On the occasion, Ambassador Mesganu stressed the strong bilateral relations between Ethiopia and Zimbabwe, citing the important role both countries have played in promoting Pan-Africanism.

The two sides agreed to hold the second Joint Ministerial Commission meeting earlier this year in a bid to enhance bilateral cooperation across various fields.

Ambassador Sophia Nyamudeza, on her part, praised Ethiopia’s efforts to promote peace in the Horn of Africa, particularly in Sudan, South Sudan, and Somalia.
