MoFA reminds international community of heinous crimes of defunct TPLF
Addis Ababa, May 25, 2021 (FBC) – Ministry of Foreign Affairs has recollected crimes committed by the defunct TPLF in a bid to remind the international community of the heinous acts of the terrorist group.
According to the Ministry remnants of TPLF killed humanitarian workers, truck drivers and looted food and non-food items that were about to be delivered to the people who need support, and yet it has continued to shed crocodile tears claiming the governmet is starving people to death.
TPLF massacred day laborers and innocent civilians in Maikadra town profiling them as non-Tigrayans but it has continued crying foul for the death of its militia and soldiers who were killed in action while dressing as civilians.
TPLF had rejected many calls for dialogue from the government and mocked efforts of Ethiopia’s respected elders and Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. But some still think talks with the defunct group would be a magic wand to pacify Tigray.
The Ethiopian government has covered 70% of the delivery of food items in Tigray from its meager resources addressing the needs of 4.5 and 2.9 million people in two rounds but it still is a subject of attack by some corners who have been reluctant to deliver concrete support.
Several international NGOs and aid institutions are operating in Tigray and more than 82 foreign journalists have been given ever-expanding access to the region, despite a lack of acknowledgment for such genuine efforts of the Ethiopian government, the Ministry indicated.
