MoFA, MoWIE congratulate all Africans on Africa Day 2021
Addis Ababa, May 25, 2021 (FBC) – The Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Water, Irrigation and Energy have extended congratulatory messages on Africa Day 2021.
“Every year on 25 May, we not only commemorate the founding of the Organization of
African Unity (OAU), the forerunner of the African Union (AU) but remember what each of the member states contributes to creating a uniquely African color” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
The relationship between Ethiopia, the people of Ethiopia and our African brothers and sisters before, during, and after the formation of the Organization stood the taste of time.
“We treasure our attachment to the Organization and continue to cherish Africa’s diversity and have absolute confidence in our capacity to give Solutions to our own Problems.” MoFA noted.
Congratulating all Africans, Ministry of Water, Irrigation and Energy underscored that GERD is an African Project set to save millions of dollars in silt clearing costs for Sudan and ensure consistent water flow for Egypt even in times of drought due to releasing of reservoir water in times of need.
The Ministry added GERD will benefit countries like Kenya, Djibouti, Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi among others with power supply.
