MoF, Parliament mull over draft homegrown economic reforms agenda II
Addis Ababa, June 20, 2023 (FBC) – Ministry of Finance held a consultation session with members of the Parliament on the draft second homegrown economic reforms agenda.
The members of Parliament have appreciated the thorough analysis of the past four years’ economic performance, which underpins the second phase of the reforms.
It is stated that members also reflected on the key economic pillars of the reforms and the aspects of social inclusion.
Key inputs were reiterated on financial inclusion, tax collection, the role of cooperatives, improving food security, sectoral productivity, and institution building among others.
In closing, Eyob Tekalign and Lomi Bedo, Deputy Spokesperson of the Parliament have reiterated the role of the Parliament in supporting the implementation of the reforms at all levels including grassroots buy-in and implementation as well as monitoring and accountability.
