Modern trucks arrive at project site to facilitate material transport for Lemi National Cement
Addis Ababa, October 1, 2024 (FBC) – In a significant development for the Lemi National Cement Factory, 36 of the 330 heavy trucks being imported for operations have arrived at the project site.
These modern vehicles will be used for transporting raw materials essential for cement production from the mining area in the Jemma River valley to the factory’s storage facilities.
Cognizant of the challenging terrain around project site, high investment has been made in acquiring these trucks, it was stated.
The Lemi National Cement Factory, inaugurated by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) on September 28, 2024, boasts a daily production capacity of 150,000 quintals, exemplifying the government’s dedication to rapid, large-scale, and environmentally sustainable construction efforts.
