MINTEX ideal platform to attract int’l mining investment to Ethiopia: Minister

Addis Ababa, November 7, 2022 (FBC) –The international Mining and Technology Expo (MINTEX) will be held from November 10 to 12, 2022 at the Millennium Hall, in Addis Ababa.

The Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Takele Uma, stated that the event is scheduled to bring together more than 270 local and international companies.

He revealed that mining companies, jewelry manufacturers and exporters, mining technology manufacturers and importers, and financial institutions are all expected to link up in this international platform.

The expo is a platform where those companies advertise their services directly to local and international consumers, the Minister stated.

The participation of foreign mining companies in the expo will give them an opportunity to look at the mining investment opportunities in Ethiopia, Takele said.

Furthermore, the participation of technology manufacturers is a massive opportunity for Ethiopia’s mining sector to be introduced to new technologies.
