Ministry unveils a 3 decade National Transportation and Logistics Master Plan
Addis Ababa, November 10, 2022 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Ministry of Transport and Logistics has announced a National Transport and Logistics Master Plan to be implemented for the next 30 years.
The Minister of Transport and Logistics, Dagmawit Moges, stated that the master plan is designed to modernize the transport sector and increase Ethiopia’s economy.
According to the Minister, the master plan will greatly increase the involvement of the private sector.
She also explained that it will also help the agriculture, manufacturing, mining and tourism sectors to grow by making transportation accessible to all parts of the country.
During the unveiling event, it was pointed out that the announced integrated transport and logistics master plan will increase road accessibility and quality.
Besides to land transportation, the new National Transport and Logistics Master Plan is believed to give special focus to air transport infrastructure.
