Ministry of Revenue collects 18.35B Birr in May

Addis Ababa, June 11, 2020 (FBC) – Ministry of Revenue stated that it collected 18.35 Billion Birr during the last month, May, 2020.

The Ministry has achieved 77 percent of its plan set to collect more than 23.6 Billion Birr in May, and the income surpassed the income secured in the same period of last fiscal year by 3.8 Billion Birr, it is indicated.

Domestic taxes account for more than 10.4 Billion Birr out of the total revenue collected while custom duties share close to 8 Billion Birr.

The ministry of revenue has secured more than 217 Billion Birr over the last 11 months achieving over 89 percent of its annual income collection plan.
