Ministry gives training to Ethiopian Public Diplomacy Team
Addis Ababa, February 20, 2020 (FBC) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Gedu Andargachew said it is indispensable to arm the Ethiopian Public Diplomacy Team with up-to-date knowledge that takes major national issues into account.
He said this today in opening a one-day training session organized jointly by the Ministry and the Ethiopian Foreign Service Training Institute in Hilton Addis Hotel.
In his speech, Gedu commended the positive roles the team has played since its inception in 2003.
Experts gave the training focusing on issues regarding the key areas of Ethiopian diplomacy, transboundary natural resources and the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, and the importance and practices of Public Diplomacy.
The team comprises prominent individuals, politicians, scholars, artists, investors, religious figures, senior government officials, diplomats, and representatives of various communities.
