Minister underscores need to boost manufacturing industries for better economic resilience

Addis Ababa, February 4, 2023 (FBC) – The Industry Minister, Melaku Alebel underscored the need to boost the manufacturing industries to realize economic resilience.

Industry and Investment Bureau of Oromia Region is holding an investment mobilization campaign in Sheger City Administration under the motto of “MadeInEthiopia” in participation of investors and other stakeholders.

Addressing the investment mobilization platform, Melaku stressed need to realize competent manufacturing industries through continued support so that the country can remain economically strong and create iiddle-income citizens.

Addressing the bottlenecks faced by the manufacturing industries has been given prior attention by the government so as to boost the sector, he said.

The government introduced the #MadeInEthiopia initiative to mobilize active participation of the investor and the general public at large in boosting the manufacturing industry sector, Melaku said, adding that the movement has been yielding promising results to this end.

It is state that there are currently more than 4,000 investment projects in Sheger City Administration.
