Minister calls up on Ethiopians to ramp up Patronage of GERD in the spirit of Adwa Victory

Addis Ababa, March 01, 2021 (FBC) – The Minister of Water, Irrigation and Energy of Ethiopia, Dr. Seleshi Bekele brified Ethiopians living the U.S. on vitual issues surrounding the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam via virtual meeting.

Dr. Seleshi said the dam is 78pct complete and the remaining task needs enormous contributions from all Ethiopians.

He called on Ethiopians around the world to support this flagship project in every way possible driven by the united spirit of Ethiopians as exhibited during the victory of the battle of Adwa.

Ambassador of Ethiopia to the U.S., Fitsum Arega, reiterated the game-changing role of the GERD in the overall activities in Ethiopia and the region at large.

Ambassador Fitsum Arega pledged the Embassy and Ethiopians living in the United States would continue providing advocacy, professional and financial support to the successful completion of GERRD.
