Mines and Petroleum Ministry terminates contract with POLY-GCL Petroleum Group

Addis Ababa, September 21, 2022 (FBC) – Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has announced termination of contract with Chinese owned POLY-GCL Petroleum Group Holding Limited in response to company’s inability in technical and technical matters.

Mines and Petroleum Minister, Takele Uma disclosed on Wednesday that the Government was providing all the necessary assistance to the company to enable it to overcome the challenges it faced.

And, the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum issued a list of conditions to be met by the company related to its activities, according to the Ministry.

Similar measures will be taken on companies which are not working as per the requirements entailed by the agreements they signed with the government. “And other companies will take a lesson from the action taken,” the Minister underscored.
