MIDROC, Marriot Int’l sign hotel investment agreement in Tana and Hawasa Lakes

Addis Ababa, October 7, 2022 (FBC) – MIDROC Investment Group and Marriott International have signed a hotel investment agreement in Tana and Hawasa Lakes.

Both firms signed three agreements to open “Protea Marriott” in Lake Tana and “Four Points by Sheraton” in Lake Hawasa areas.

The agreement was made to reopen the Tana Hotel in Bahir Dar and the Progress International Hotel in Hawasa under the “Four Points by Sheraton” brand, and the Blue Nile (Avanti) Resort in Bahir Dar under the “Protea Marriott” brand.

On behalf of MIDROC Investment Group, CEO Jemal Ahmed and the Deputy CEO of the Hotel and Tourism Sector, Solomon Zewdu, and on behalf of Marriott International Karim Chelot, Jugal Kushalani and Edward Edwards signed the agreement, said MIDROC Ethiopia.
