MIDI and WGF sign agreement to establish gemology training center in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, February 27, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopian Mining Industry Development Institute (MIDI) at the Ministry of Mines has signed joint venture agreement with the World Gem Foundation (WGF).

According to the agreement, WGF will collaborate with MIDI to establish a gemology training center at the headquarters of the Ministry of Mines in Addis Ababa.

Agreement is said pivotal in streamlining activities underway to unleash Ethiopians immense mineral resources through skilled workforce and up to date technologies.

Director General of WGF, Geoffrey M. Dominy and Director General of MIDI, Guta Legesse (PhD) have signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions.
