Mekelle University fully resumes activities

Addis Ababa, February 13, 2021 (FBC) – Mekelle University has announced resumption of educational activities. The University started re-enrolling students on February 9, 2021.

Students Service Director at the University, Dr. Kesete Legesse stated that most of the students out of 13, 000 expected have already been re-enrolled and restarted learning. The remaining students are being re-admitted by the university, he said.

Community of Meklle City has been welcoming the students who are rejoining campuses of the university after months of enclosure due to law enforcement operation in the region.

Classrooms, Libraries, dormitories, laboratories and other spaces in all campuses have been equipped with Coronavirus protective facilities and sanitation supplies to protect spread of pandemic in the university.
