Mayors, business community discuss private sector prospects

Addis Ababa, May 6, 2021 (FBC) – Mayor of several cities and representatives of the business community are discussion prospects of the private sector.

The discussion underway under the theme “Cities as Engines of Business Proliferation: What is Missing in Ethiopian Context?” is involving participation of high ranking government officials including mayors, scholars and several stakeholders with global experiences, among others.

In her opening remarks at the session, the Urban Development and Construction Minister, Engineer Aysha Mohammed stressed need to collaborate efforts of city administrations and the private sector for enhanced and competitive trade sector.

A number of research paper and study findings are expected to be tabled by academics on the two day session.
