Maintenance of conflict-ravaged Alamata-Bisober Yalo Kelwan power line completed

Addis Ababa, November 27, 2022 (FBC) – Maintenance of conflict-ravaged Alamata-Bisober Yalo Kelwan power transmission line has been completed, Ethiopian Electric Utility Afar Region District announced.

Regional District CEO, Yasin Ali said a repair carried out on high and medium voltage transmission lines stretched from Alamata- Bisober Yalo Kelwan and transformers in this route has been fully completed.

Electric services will be fully restored in these lines, and preparations are finalized to start maintenance for districts that were accessing power from Mekelle and Wuqro substations, according to Yasin.
