Lt.-Gen Yilma says the Air Force is on high alert
Addis Ababa, August 29, 2022 (FBC)- Building a great institution for a great country, by producing competent and quality professionals, and by striking the hideouts of Ethiopia’s enemies, the Air Force is proving in practice that it is the breeding ground of heroes, said Lieutenant General Yilma Merdasa, the Commander-in-Chief of FDRE Air Force, during a congratulatory message to graduates of the Air Force’s Academy.
The FDRE Air Force Academy graduates servicemen trained in electronics, airframe and engine maintenance, as well as basic aviation skills.
“Graduates, you must shoulder your national duty by understanding the times we are in and putting the skills you have learned into practice”, stated Lt. Gen. Yilma.
“Our air force is at a higher level of readiness to make Ethiopia live with dignity and respect by paying all the necessary sacrifices,” confirmed the Commander-in-Chief.
The Commander of the Federal Air Force Academy, Colonel Gezahegn Negash, on his part, stated that many tasks have been done at the academy by creating a qualified workforce in terms of thinking and skills, producing pilots, technicians and other professionals who can carry the knowledge required.
The Academy Commander added that they are working hard to make the college a leading aviation institution in Africa by modernizing the college with technology.
Some of the graduates indicated that they have acquired the aviation knowledge required at the moment and are ready to fulfill their national duties effectively by doing all that is required of them, the National Defense Army stated.
