List of road closures for Adwa Museum Inauguration coming Sunday unveiled

Addis Ababa, February 9, 2024 (FBC) – A list of roads to be shuttered due to inauguration of Adwa Museum to be held coming Sunday 11 February, 2024 has been unveiled.

The Adwa Memorial Museum built at Piassa Locality in Addis Ababa will be inagurated on 11 February in the presence of high level government officials, members of the diplomatic community and guest from all over the world.

Accordingly, the roads; Afincho Ber – St George Church, Piassa, Semen Hotel – St George Church

St John Church – Abune Petros Square, Aratmenta – Jin’ad, Yirga Haile Commercial Center – Abune Petros Square, Habtegiworgis Bridge – Sumale Tera, Sumale Tera – Eliana Hotel – Banko de Roma Roundabout and Teklehaimanot Squre – Tewodros Square will be closed to thru traffic on 11 February 2024 from 12:00 PM.

Moreover, roads; Ras Mekonnen Bridge – De Gaulle Square, Ras Mekonnen Bridge – St George Church, Meqdela Hotel – St George Church and St George Church – Tele and the square in front of the church will be closed due to the inauguration of the museum the same day. Drivers are and pedestrians are requested to use alternative roads till the end of the ceremony.

It is also stated that drives are not allowed to park vehicles in the aforementioned areas.
