Libya refutes closure of Embassy in Addis Ababa
Addis Ababa, November 17, 2021 (FBC) – Libya has rejected an information circulating as if it has closed its Embassy in Addis Ababa.
The embassy has issued a formal report to the Foreign Affairs Minister that the chancery in Addis Ababa is still open and delivering services. “The information circulating is totally false and groundless”, stated the Embassy.
Regarding the situation, Spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dina Mufti stated that some media and organizations are spreading fake news and disinformation as if countries are closing their embassies in Addis Ababa.
He said such fabricated news is a part of the ongoing foreign pressuers on Ethiopia. Ambassador Dina Mufti noted that the Ministry will issue updates concering related misinformation.
