Leveraging Pan-African bond key for robust economic, trade ties among nations

Addis Ababa, December 17, 2024 (FMC) – In a significant initiative to deepen economic relations, the Embassy of Ethiopia in Algeria hosted an exclusive event showcasing the nation’s renowned coffee to Femoca Coffee, a leading Algerian importer.

This effort highlights the strong political and diplomatic bonds between Ethiopia and Algeria, aligning with the goals of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Ambassador Muktar Mohamed Ware emphasized the need to strengthen Pan-African connections, encouraging Femoca Coffee to promote Ethiopian coffee directly to Algerian consumers and reduce reliance on intermediaries.

With the support of the Embassy, the event included a presentation on the exceptional quality and cultural importance of Ethiopian coffee, sparking discussions on broader trade collaboration. Femoca Coffee executives expressed enthusiasm for exploring direct import options, aiming to enhance economic and cultural ties between the two nations.
