Landlocked nations face challenges in meeting people’s needs: PM
Landlocked nations face insurmountable challenges impeding their capacity to meet the needs of their populace for sufficient and enduring livelihoods, as well as to guarantee their overall development, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said.
The Prime Minister remarked this today while addressing the 19th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Kampala, Uganda.
“In my remarks today during the 19th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), I reiterated that landlocked countries face insurmountable challenges hindering their ability to fulfill the demands of their people for adequate and sustained livelihoods and to ensure their development,” the Premier’s social media post read.
He stressed that Ethiopia continues to seek a peaceful and mutually beneficial and negotiated solution to such a challenge.
Recall that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and his delegation traveled to Kampala, Uganda to participate in the 19th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement.
